deboned chicken is a weird ingredient… most high quality dog food don’t call it deboned chicken..they just say chicken.
and then chicken meal as the 2nd ingredient makes me not like that food. and what is a natural source of glucosamine?? chicken meal?? i don’t trust this bag and i don’t think it has enough meat.

i trust many foods at small pet stores and holistic stores. get talking to the store owner..you can tell the honest ones..and see what they say about the food. they’ll give you free samples to see which your dog does best on. look at protein %’s also. for small and med size dogs you want 26%. for large dogs you want 23-24%.

i opted not to feed blue buffalo because it’s too commercial now, just like pedigree or science diet the quality of the ingredients aren’t going to be great (although much better than those). it’s like, dog chow would be a greasy hamburger at mcdonalds, and BB would be a mcdonald fried fish sandwhich. it’s a bit healthier, but still the same junky source. BB was on the dog food recall list also.

i feed my one dog innova and the other one california natural for his sensitive stomach. there are alot of brands that good to me though at the small dog stores. it’s more money to buy a bag of the better food, BUT you feed less of the better food because it has more meat and no fillers, so price evens out.

Is it Blue Buffalo? If so, it is a great dog food.

I feed my Yorkies BilJac ( a dry food), it’s easy on their digestion and they love it. You can do a search on the Internet and read about BilJac on the company’s website.

    Look it companies like these:

    http://www.bravorawdiet.com/
    http://www.naturesvariety.com/
    http://www.primalpetfoods.com/
http://www.auntjeni.com/ (made in the USA and you can actually call the company and really speak with Aunt Jeni)

Take your dog of kibble and feed your dog what it was meant to eat. I am sure you will hear that Raw Diets are bad, but try it and just see the difference in your dog. Weight wise, energy wise, even look at its stool…you will see barely anything because your dogs body will be using every bit of nutrition from the raw.

Is it Blue Buffalo? I just bought a bag for my cats, and I was looking at the dog food. That sounds like the ingredients, exactly. It’s a great dog food, one of the best there is in a dry form. It is pretty expensive, though. I have three dogs, and right now, they are eating a mixture of Diamond Naturals Lamb and Rice,Canidae Platinum, and Merrick Cowboy Cookout and Wilderness Blend. They also get some Fresh Pet Fresh Bites,Bil-Jac frozen, and some meat, fish, eggs, and meaty soup bones. They also get doggy treats, and, they eat some leftovers ( pasta, meat, veggies, cereal, milk, etc.) So,they have a varied diet, which seems to agree with them just fine.

sounds like a good food. what brand??? i feed solid gold, and from the ..list..you gave..it seems to be on the same level as solid gold.

This is very similar to Blue Buffalo and sounds like a good food. The best food for your dog is one that meets his nutritional and health needs.

We feed our shih tzu Blue Buffalo Chicken (or Lamb) and Rice. Blue Buffalo does not use animal by-products and their gluten-free recipes do not contain any artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Their food also does not have corn, wheat or soy, which have been known to trigger allergies.

You can go to the website: http://www.bluebuff.com and read more about the products they have and request a free sample (and a $3 coupon)!

  10. I think royale k9 is great for your dog, but you should pay more for this :(
