Vitamin supplement for my 1 year old?
I am considering starting a vitamin supplement for my daughter, such as Poly-Vi-Sol, as we are switching her to whole milk. What are your opinions on this? Should I get regular Poly-Vi-Sol, or Poly-Vi-Sol with Iron? Are there any other toddler vitamins?
Not too sure if this will help you out, but I would maybe suggest pediasure if your child needs the extra nutrition. Whole milk is great!!! Ask your doctor if they would recommend it with or without iron. Just be sure to have a well balanced diet! When in doubt, consult the doc! good luck!
My ped only suggests vitamins if they are lacking something. Because both my children were breastfed they did iron drops until a year old and they started drinking milk.
Having a balanced diet is key. If in doubt call your child’s dr.
My twins 19 months old, both take Poly-Vi-Sol (not with Iron) since they were 15 months old and they’re doing just fine, in fact they haven’t been sick ever since they started the vitamins. But please check with your daughter’s Ped. first.
