Looking for all round health, boosted immune system, antioxidants, energy, good sleeping and concentration etc. Guess some Omega 3 fish oil would be good too? Thanks.
I know Melatonin and Guarana do the complete opposite of each other but Guarana would be for the morning and throughout the day as needed and Melatonin would be for sleep of course. Thanks.
Nope, no bad breath, depression or blood sugar issues – so I guess those may be wrong for me. St.Johns Wort is actually illegal here in Ireland but the company (a major online supplier) which is based in the US will ship it here – guess they don’t know? Just thought it would be a good general pick me up or whatever.
Didn’t realise Guarana was basically caffeine – have buckets of caffeine pills already.

My friend doesn’t eat any vegetables at all. He’s 18 years old and he takes 5 different pills daily: concentrated fruits and vegetables, omega 3 (fish oil), antioxidants, and phytonutrients. He said he’s been taking those pills ever since halfway through middle school. And he stopped eating vegetables around the same time, but he does eat pigeon peas every once in a while.

I’ve been telling him that with the way he eats he can expect to take off years off of his life expectancy. Is this an exaggeration?

How bad is it really to not eat any vegetables but to replace them with dietary supplements instead? Is it bad at all? Or just as good as eating vegetables?
the 5th supplement is a multivitamin

The bottles indicate that both of these supplements contain an unspecified amount of soy. I’ve heard both good and bad things about soy, and I’d rather err on the side of caution and not worry about consuming large amounts of soy on a daily basis. Does anybody know how much soy one could expect to find as part of a daily vitamin supplement such as those I’ve mentioned, and does anyone have an educated opinion on whether or not the amount, or type, of soy contained in these tablets is significant enough to cause any noteworthy effects? I know soy is sort of stealthily placed everywhere these days, but I don’t want to go out of my way to consume it as a supplement to my diet.
